In Beech class this half term we are basing all our English work on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. At the moment we are continuing a narrative and imagining new rooms in the chocolate factory. Before Easter we will be working on persuasive writing.
We’re doing a lot of reading at the moment and will be bringing home texts to read to anyone who will listen at home – even the pets. Please help us by listening to us read our pieces. Mrs Wightman then gives us class dojos!
We have recently been learning about money and strategies to add and subtract amounts of money. We have now moved onto statistics and using data to answer questions and drawing our own graphs
In creative links we have been studying geography, learning to read and draw maps. We will be able to point out human and physical features around us and use keys.
In Science this half term, we are learning about rocks and fossils. We have looked at a variety of rocks and sorted them into different groups according to their appearance and their properties. We are also learning about how fossils are formed and why the discovery of fossils is so important.
