Art Solutions will be joining us on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th February 2018.
This company provide each class with an artist and work towards creating 3D displays for the school. We have chosen the theme of 'Fantasy'; this will allow us to incorporate such an exclusive day with World Book Day.
We would like to ask parents to provide children with an old t-shirt or top to go over their uniform for both days; the children will be very creative and we don't want uniform do be covered in art supplies.
We have a production of Goldilocks coming to Cherry Tree on Tuesday, 28th November 2017. Children will be watching the performance during the afternoon as their Christmas reward. The performance will finish at the end of the school day and normal school collection is required.
Non - uniform and Christmas Fayre donations:
On Friday 1st December, children are allowed to attend school in non - school uniform. We ask in return that children donate one of the following for their Christmas Fayre; cuddly toys, chocolate, bottles or sweets. All proceeds of the Christmas Fayre go towards school resources for the children and help us fund travel for educational visits, e.g Farm to Fork. We appreciate all the support our families give us.
History Break Out Day:
On Monday 4th December, children have been asked to come to school dressed in a specific historic period of time relating to their work on History. We are not asking parents to go out and buy new outfits, classes would have received a letter explaining the details of what is required. Children will also be able to make historic accessories during school hours.
Yr 6 Cyber Safety and Yr 3 Fire Talks:
On Tuesday 5th December, we will be joined by Essex Fire Service who will take Yr 6 and discuss with them the safety of using the internet and how to report something if they feel it is not right. They will also be working with Yr 3 and discuss Fire Safety and how to keep safe at home, especially over Christmas.
Early Years Gazette Picture:
On Wednesday 6th December, the Gazette will be coming in and taking a picture for their Early Years Nativity Spread. We have arranged that this issue will be available to buy from our school office if you would like one. We will keep Early Years parents informed of the issue date.
