Morning London Bridge,
For today's learning we are going to try a free-flow Friday online. I want you to explore Ancient Greeks through this virtual tour of Athens.
https://www.acropolisvirtualtour.gr/
After you have explored the sites I want you to pick any two of the activities listed below.
Draw a map of Athens
Draw a technical drawing of one of the sites
Create a fact page for one of the sites
Create a poster/brochure encouraging people to visit
Build a model of one of the site
Record a tour of the Acropolis
Pick a side of the debate for The Parthenon Sculptures (they are currently in the British Museum) and write a persuasive letter or speech about whether they should remain there. https://www.britishmuseum.org/about-us/british-museum-story/objects-news/parthenon-sculptures#:~:text=The%20British%20Museum%20houses%2015,itself%20has%20a%20complex%20history.&text=Around%2050%25%20of%20the%20original,the%20ancient%20world%20and%20later.
Once teams is back online I will set today's work as an assignment so I can see what you have created but work can also be emailed to CherryLondon@connectedlearningmat.co.uk

In Maths we will be covering multiplication, division and prime numbers.
In our Connected Curriculum lessons we will be learning about the Ancient Greeks.
In English, we will be developing our descriptive writing techniques.
Spelling
In Year 5 we have begun to learn how to spell the Common Exception Words for Year 5 and 6 and vocabulary related to our Personal and Social Curriculum. It is expected that we will be able to use half of these words appropriately and to spell them accurately in independent writing by the end of year 5. We have also begun to learn words containing the 'ough' letter string and will be learning spellings that containing silent letters.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
