Cherry Tree Primary School is committed to offering all pupils the opportunity to experience a wide range of sporting activities as part of our high quality Physical Education Curriculum. We also offer a varied selection sport clubs after school.
Our school receives PE & Sport Premium funding based on the number of pupils in school. This funding is provided jointly by the departments for education, health and culture, media and sport.
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.
We use our Sports grant to hire specialist sports coaches to deliver PE throughout the school and to provide after school sports club.
At Cherry Tree Primary School we are enhancing the provision of PE and Sport by –
- Hiring a specialist PE teacher(s) to visit 2 days per week to teach alongside Cherry Tree staff to enhance the quality of the PE taught at Cherry Tree and providing staff with additional PE skills.
